Pierrette grew up in Switzerland in a multi-lingual environment and holds a Diploma of Translation from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Her linguistic skills are particularly useful both in the performance and tuition of classical music.Pierrette graduated BA in Music from Reading University in 1998 and went on to pursue her vocal development with the acclaimed international soprano and Professor of Voice at the Royal Academy of Music, Alison Pearce. Her work with Abbey Opera allowed her to gain a Diploma in Opera Performance Studies from the University of London in 2003. |

Pierrette has many years of performing experience. She has given recitals in Britain as well as her native Switzerland. Her oratorio performances include Dvorak's Mass in D, Mozart's Coronation Mass as well as works by Bach, Handel and Gibbons. She gained valuable operatic experience with Abbey Opera; as well as semi-staged performances of scenes and arias by Cavalli, Handel, Strauss and Bellini, she sang Kate in Britten's Owen Wingrave and Antonia's Mother in Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann for Abbey Opera's annual staged production at the Cochrane Theatre in London. |

Pierrette is based in Reading, where she has a successful private teaching practice. She also coaches singers and accompanists in French, German and Italian pronunciation, both privately and on summer schools for singers. She is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. She is Director of Reading Concordia. |
