Pierrette likes to devise recital programmes which combine a wide variety of pieces from Baroque arias to contemporary songs. Her recitals often revolve around a theme, such as the programme on the theme of Christmas she devised for a concert in Switzerland. Included were arias from oratorios by Bach (Cantata 148 and Christmas Oratorio), the Ave Verum by Mozart; French songs by Bemberg and Benjamin Britten as well as traditional Christmas Carols; P. Cornelius' Weihnachtslieder and Reger's Mariä Wiegenlied; and to close the recital Brahms' op.92, Two Songs for Alto, Cello and Piano. |

Pierrette recently formed the Duo Voice and Harp with her harpist niece, Meret Haug. One of the oldest musical combinations, the voice and the harp form a uniquely harmonious pairing and create a wonderfully intimate and entrancing musical atmosphere. Pierrette and Meret present in their recital programmes music from a wide range of styles and composers, ranging from the Baroque era to modern classical music. Their programmes combine music written for voice and harp with arrangements of operatic music, as well as many pieces which, although originally written for piano accompaniment, have proved themselves equally suited to the harp. Their recital programmes include works by more modern composers such as Jean-Michel Damase (Epigrammes et Madrigaux), Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (Three Sephardic Songs), Benjamin Britten (Evening, Morning, Night) and Edmund Rubbra (Two Songs for Voice and Harp, Op.13 no.2 and Op.4 no.2), as well as works by Handel (Lascia ch'io pianga from Rinaldo), Bellini (Tre Ariette), Thomas (Connais-tu le pays from Mignon) and Ravel (Deux Mélodies hébraiques). Voice and harp is an ideal combination for small to medium-sized concert venues. |
