This workshop and concert is part of a series of ongoing vocal workshops held at St. George's Tylehurst. Our courses give both solo and choral singers the opportunity to improve their vocal and performance skills in a professional, dedicated, fun and supportive environment. Participants come from all walks of life and cover the whole range of musical and vocal experience, from beginners to advanced. The course will culminate in a concert which gives the participants the opportunity to showcase their work.
There are 12 places for solo participants who would like to improve their performing skills by taking part in this workshop. Solo participants need to be able to present two pieces from memory, which can be chosen from any repertoire as long as printed sheet music can be provided for the pianist. Each participant will benefit from two teaching sessions, and there is no minimum proficiency level required. There is also the opportunity to present duets and trios on Sunday. Please note that the number of places is very limited, and places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Early booking is strongly advised. Participants' Fee for the workshop: £60.
The workshops are open to the public, so feel free to drop in anytime during course hours to watch the work in progress! Admission to the workshops as an observer is free, though a contribution to the collection plate is appreciated. Workshop times are:
